Whisper of heaven

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105

Have you been reading the Bible and the words stand out like in that moment the words were just written for you? The words in the Bible are lit up by the Holy Spirit and powerfully speak to us and help us to see the way to go. Could a whisper of heaven be enough to make a difference in your day, setting the direction of your soul life? Thank God for the Word. What has the Lord been talking to you about?

Thanks Heavenly Father, your words are like pure gold to me. Help me hear you as I wait on you.

Help in Jesus

My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121:2

We are very blessed to have mobile phones to be able to communicate to loved ones. The Lord is closer still. Your help is not far away. The Holy Spirit is a very present help in times of need (Psalm 46:1). Praise Jesus! Don’t lose your confidence in the Lord. He is our keeper. God is our source, our portion and deliverer. Believe the Lord at his word. Just as God created heaven and earth, he is able, as your help.

Thanks Jesus, you are the one I find help from. Help me always look to you for guidance, security and peace.

Jesus our peace

The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26

Do you believe that the Lord wants to bless you? That He is your shield, you are favoured and have the attention of heaven? When preparing for your day, the outlook you have can really impact your whole day. The Lord wants to bless you, for you to hear from him and be anchored in him. Be blessed as you take each step in faith, knowing Jesus is beside you. His peace is surrounding you, because you are a child of God.

Lord, thanks for your peace and the faithfulness of your presence. Teach me to walk close to you that I might know the light of your face shining on me.

More than a dream

Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Acts 3:6

What the man really wanted. He was asking for money, he didn’t realise he could ask for a miracle. What the disciples had was more than a dream. They had a real relationship with Jesus. Because of that authority they stood on, they were able to command miracles. You hear stories of people doing such wonderful deeds and you wonder how they were inspired. The Holy Spirit really does miracles today using real people. Who could you pray for a miracle recovery for today?

Thanks Heavenly Father, I’m believing for a miracle healing. Help me walk in the same authentic way that the disciples walked.

Expect the unexpected

For with God nothing [is or ever] shall be impossible. Luke 1:37

When God promises… Mary was not expecting to be expecting. As the angel met Mary, she was delighted and surprised. What was Mary’s response when the angel told her the news. She was humble like a servant. When we go to Jesus and hear him, what might he say?! Thank God that in these times, the Holy Spirit is being poured upon all people. You can expect the unexpected when God is in the picture.

Lord Jesus, help me listen and hear your voice and that my response would be as a humble servant.

Safe and secure

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

You don’t have to worry. You have the Lord. God is always there, He will make a way as we lead by example. Our beliefs are worthwhile. There was a storm. When Jesus walked across the water towards the disciples, they were terrified. Jesus told them it was him and not to be afraid (Matthew 14:24-27). Sometimes there seems to be storms surrounding us. We can take comfort that Jesus is alive and there. Can you see Jesus in the midst of your day? We are safe and secure as Jesus is there.

Thanks Father God, you presence yourself, even as storms arise. Lord Jesus, I give my anxiety to you.

Praise and worship

We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice for we trust in His holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone. Psalm 33:20-22

Our hope is in Jesus. God helps us and shields us about. If you’re having a hard time, the unfailing love of the Lord is near. Draw close to God and He will draw close to you (James 4:8). Anywhere you go, the Lord is there. As we acknowledge the Lord in our lives, in praise and worship, our focus is towards Jesus and that’s where we are able to operate in the supernatural as the Holy Spirit has room to move and our lives are transformed.

Thanks Lord Jesus, you make me feel so complete. Praise you for being my hope and shield.

Praise Jesus

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 1:3

Knowing Jesus is a blessing. God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Even more than all the blessings that we receive, is to have God as your best friend. The person of Jesus lives in our hearts. We talk to him and He talks to us. Such treasures are there in Jesus. “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3. The intimacy we have is wrapped up in a covenant in Jesus. Praise Jesus! Praise God!

Praise you Lord. I will always remember how you rescued me and have blessed me God. Help me to be there for you.

Surprised by God

He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; He who keeps understanding will find good. Proverbs 19:8

Jesus is wisdom and knowledge of the Lord is understanding (Proverbs 9:10). Our revelation of Jesus causes us to have respect and honour for God because of his greatness and just who He is. You are caring for your soul when you love Jesus. Our devotion, zeal and humility makes us be set ablaze for God. How can you delight in Jesus today? What about Jesus has captivated you of late?

Thanks Lord Jesus, you mean so much to me. I’m hungry for you to know you more and develop wisdom and understanding Lord.

Love of Jesus

Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal on your arm, for love is strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave" Song of Solomon 8:6

When a seal is used, that is a signal of authority. To set a seal upon your heart, on your arm, is to be set apart for your love. True love is a gift from God, wrapped up by your marriage. Love as spoken of in the book of Song of Solomon is like the love of Jesus and the church. If you are yet to be married, Jesus is the greatest purpose you can have.

Lord Jesus, you are the love of my life. Help me place a seal on my heart and arm that you are my Lord forever.

Spiritual health

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. John 15:4

Our lives become a reflection of the Lord Jesus as we draw near to Him. If you want to have fruitfulness in your life, what better way to live than for the purpose of Jesus Christ. Being connected to Him is so important for our spiritual health. As we are believing for God to move in our lives, the  time we take ministering to Jesus, is precious to Him. How can you minister to Jesus today?

Father God, your presence is so important and such a blessing. Help me remain close to your Holy Spirit, amen.

Gospel of Jesus

Thousands and thousands are waiting in the valley of decision. There the day of the Lord will soon arrive. Joel 3:14

These times we live in, awaken us to a need each one of us have for eternal salvation. “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end“ Ecclesiastes 3:11. Being able to speak freely about what we believe in as Christian’s is a blessing we are  grateful for. Because of the grace of the Lord Jesus, we have been saved and set free. That is the ultimate good news we get to share. As we remember to pray for the multitudes, don’t be surprised if the multitudes become open to our message.

Lord Jesus, thanks for the opportunity to pray for people who don’t know the love, grace and knowledge of you.

Jesus is the answer

He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. Psalm 18:16

Getting saved for the first time is like being rescued from deep waters. Only Jesus is the answer to us needing salvation. The rescuing help of the Lord is a miracle from heaven. God invites us to share with him what’s on our heart, as He cares. When all else fails, there’s Jesus. Sharing your burdens with the Lord, is an open door of opportunity for God to make a real impact in your life and your family. Do you need real answers? God will meet you where you are at. We are blessed to be able to seek the Lord for those we love.

Lord Jesus, I need you so much. I bring my burdens and cares to you knowing you are the rescuer and helper Holy Spirit.

Declaring his greatness

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5,6

As we have Jesus as our number one priority, we remember to acknowledge him in all our ways. One way that we can acknowledge him is in praise, worship and prayer. We declare his greatness, and his help in our everyday lives. Being close to Jesus causes us to be able to not worry. God has you. He will make the way before you clear. Praise God that we can walk in genuine peace and the light of Christ.

Thanks Lord Jesus, all I need is in you. Help me acknowledge your presence and help each day.

Born for freedom

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Proverbs 4:23

You were born for freedom. There has never been a day when you aren’t loved, thought of and nurtured by God. The Holy Spirit is closer to us than we realise. “For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring’” Acts 17:28. Knowing who you are in Jesus is so important because then when you experience other happenings, you stay true to what you believe. God has a calling on each one of our lives that can’t be lost in a time of wilderness or hardship. Even when you don’t expect, God will surprise you with his love and compassion, because you are a child of God.

Thanks Father God, your the rock of our salvation. Help me to know my identity in you, amen.

Jesus the same

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

In our lives as believers we keep coming back to the never changing person of Jesus. Jesus is that wonderful that you can give your whole life to Him. Gratefulness and praise is our response to his righteousness, character and stability. God has been the same through the ages. You find the Word of God a strong foundation to build your life and relationship. Even in our society, when that is built on godly principles established in the Bible, there’s such a blessing that goes with that. How does the Word shape your day to day living?

Thanks Jesus, I lean on you each day. Help me build foundations in my life that are true to your Word.

Steadfast love

O God, my heart is steadfast [with confident faith]; I will sing, I will sing praises, even with my soul. Psalm 108:1

Your love for Jesus is so precious to God. As we praise Jesus, He is lifted up. As believers we are a passionate community. You find yourself being steadfast in your passion for God. Our hearts are fixed on the Lord. With our souls we can praise Jesus. God delights in us as we delight in Him. The song of our lives is to praise Jesus.

Thanks Father God, I want to praise you with consistency. Help me to remain steadfast in you.

Home and community

Love is patient, love is kind.  1 Corinthians 13:4

When we have good principles modelled to us, we are more able to be the same. The description Corinthians tells us is the recipe for functional and balanced relationships. Home is that place you can feel comfortable and be oneself. If we can do our best to do all in love how will our lives be benefited? Community is having mindfulness of our family and friends, and being present, where we can. How have you been blessed in your friendships?

Thanks Lord for friendship and community. Help me have humility and understanding and grace in the everyday.

Jesus’ help

So we keep praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do. 2 Thessalonians 1:11

When you keep praying, know that God answers prayer. People you hold up to Jesus, have the blessing of heaven on their lives. We might not see immediate results, don’t be discouraged, God is working on your behalf. One encounter with Jesus and people are never the same. The presence of God is life changing. Our needing Jesus is precious.

Lord Jesus, thanks for your presence. Help me lean on you in prayer.

Living for your higher power

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters Colossians 3:23

People every where do so much to increase productivity. More than anything you can do, if we are to get the most from our days, working for Jesus makes you more productive. People wonder how you are blessed. You are so blessed because you are living for your higher power, He’s with you. We can praise Jesus with our words and we can praise him with our work life. Thank God that we can be industrious and innovative by the help of the Holy Spirit.

Father God, thanks for your presence that is so fulfilling. Help me worship you in my work, amen.
