Miracles
And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons;they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well. Mark 16:17-18
When you go to pray for people, you can really believe that they will be healed. That’s one of the benefits of believing in Jesus. We get to be recipients of miracles, in Jesus’ name. How much God makes a difference when we pray, is unsearchable. The very laws of nature are bent for believers, not being hurt when should be. How can you find yourself in a place where you are believing for the impossible in Jesus?
Thanks Jesus, I believe in you and your creative power in process. Praying for opportunities to grow in faith.
Being a blessing
Let all that you do be done in love
1 Corinthians 16:14
There’s often much to be done in the day. We can make moments special as we put that little extra into the way that we love.
Thoughtfulness is often a surprise. You never know how much your friendship could mean to someone. Often, Jesus had compassion upon people. Our compassion can lead us to help people, that we wouldn’t usually.
Lord Jesus, help me be mindful of people, as I live for you each day.
Our help
Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. Psalm 33:20
Making space for the Spirit of God bears great fruit. What is the Lord ministering to you at the moment? God is our help. You can talk to Jesus about whatever is on your mind. He cares. If we can lift Jesus up more than any other worries or cares, what a delight. He protects us, goes ahead of us and prepares a path for us to walk free and whole.
Thanks Lord Jesus, you are my inspiration Holy Spirit. Thanks for being there Lord.
Praise the Lord
Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Psalm 105:1
Thankfulness isn’t something that just happens, you can build an atmosphere of thankfulness. What God has done is more than can be expressed. Great and wonderful is our God. Have you ever felt that pumped about God that you just want to tell everyone. That’s how much God meant to the psalmist. If you thank God, that’s the entrance of Jesus’ presence. Praise God!
Thanks Jesus for who you are and what you have done. Help me be excited to declare your praises.
Light steps
Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. Selah. Psalm 68:19
The Lord lifts us up as we journey through life. God causes us to sing a new song, because of his faithfulness. What we carry, we don’t carry alone. God bears our burden. We can walk along with light steps. What a wonderful Saviour. Jesus saves us and redeems our lives. There is much to be thankful about.
Lord Jesus, I’m grateful for your help every day. Thanks for saving me.
Ministry of the presence of God
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. John 15:4
To have that time with God, causes us to have a fulfilling life. We minister from the overflow of what we get from Jesus. Staying close to the source, will cause you to flourish. If you want to develop a culture of the presence of God, you need to practice His presence. There is a blessing in remembering the Lord in our everyday lives.
Dear Lord Jesus, you are precious to me. Help me draw closer to you and have reliance on you each new day.
Goodness of God
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7
God wants us to be bold and confident in Jesus. What He has given us, is a spirit of power, love and self discipline. We are able to live in the calling of the Lord, because the Lord has portioned us with the help we need. We don’t have to be afraid and timid. That’s contrary to what God purposed for us. Whenever you feel afraid, you can declare the goodness of God over your life and your loved ones. He wants us to know who we are in Him, because we are reflecting Jesus on the earth.
Praise you Lord, thanks for a spirit of power, love and self discipline. Help me live in peace and quiet confidence as you lead me Jesus.
Blessed
How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the Lord his God. Psalm 146:5
Have you ever had a problem with your car and you just had to get some mechanical help? When you get the help you need you are ready to go again. Well, we are blessed because we have God as our helper. God is the source of our help. Where else would you want to put your hope. God is eternally sovereign and He reigns. Although He is high above us, He still reaches us and is a help to us and we are blessed indeed.
Thanks Jesus, you are the help of my life and I am grateful to you. Who you are is good and I love you.
Living for Jesus
Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God. Psalm 42:11
Living for Jesus takes you upward in every aspect of life. When you could be down, He gives you reason to smile, because of the way God cares, helping you see above the storms of life. If you can grab on to God with all your heart, praise will be the response you find in each circumstance. Knowing Jesus is key to overcoming, day by day. The Holy Spirit has the encouragement we need in every season.
Thanks Lord, you always are my hope and my God. I will praise you Lord.
Those around us
As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. Proverbs 27:17
Those around us can have a good influence on us. They cause us to rise higher, be stronger and care more. We all have blind spots. What friends do is help us in ways that community is the best at. Putting in an effort to ensure we are looking after the interests of others, we are reflecting the heart of God. Praise Jesus for the people that He has put in and around our lives.
Thanks Jesus, you help me see new, positive ways to see life, because of community.
Jesus exalted
You are my God, and I will praise you!
You are my God, and I will exalt you! Psalm 118:28
As our resolution is to exalt the Lord, He battles on our behalf (2Chronicles 20:21-22). When you praise the Lord, what happens only heaven knows. If we can have a strong resolve to make our lives centre around the praises of Jesus, we are helped as well as being a blessing to the Lord. We need the power of the Holy Spirit, we need the life of God. To exalt Jesus in our daily lives, puts us on the front foot.
Thank you Jesus, I love to exalt you. Praise you Lord, you are worthy.
Courage to step forward
We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice for we trust in His holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone. Psalm 33:20-22
Pinning your hopes in temporal blessings doesn’t last. Having the courage to step forward each day needs heavenly inspiration. Where do you find your hope and courage? One word from God can change your life. The scripture encourages us to put our hope in the Lord. That is where our hope belongs. God has a love that never fails and is always there for us. Praise the Lord for His constant love.
Praise you Lord Jesus, you are the hope of the world. Help me seek you each day.
Precious relationship
May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory and raise a victory banner in the name of our God. May the LORD answer all your prayers. Psalm 20:5
Becoming a prayer warrior is a process. Although I count myself a novice, I have learned that just like a fire, the wood needs a stoke, so we often need to stoke our lives with heaven’s anointing. The Holy Spirit is the great counsellor. If we can go to Him, asking what is on His heart, we are stoking our lives in the Lord. How much the Lord loves us to go to Him. There is much He would say if we are listening. Praise the Lord, a very precious relationship.
Thanks Jesus, help me get fired up for you. Amen.
Hope in Jesus
He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. Psalm 18:16
We are already delivered. From the time Jesus died on the cross and then rose from the dead, we have been set free. If you can understand just how much Jesus cares, that at the moment you call, He is there to draw you from deep waters. The comfort the Holy Spirit can bring, could make your day. “Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.” Jeremiah 17:7
Thanks Jesus, you are the hope of the ages. Help me find you in the middle of every day.
Witnesses of Jesus
You will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8
Being filled with the Holy Spirit is such a blessing. God can have anyone make an impact, if they are willing. If you hunger after God and seek Him, you are a candidate to be a part of great happenings. He has the help we need to be effective witnesses of Jesus. Although we are weak vessels, God can still take what we bring to Him in our communities and make a difference.
Thanks Lord, for the opportunity of being your disciple. How much I need you Holy Spirit.
Love unfailing
I will sing of the Lord’s unfailing love forever. Psalm 89:1
You can never forget when someone treats you with great kindness. Someone took you in, when you were at your lowest ebb. A friend rang you, on your birthday. The psalmist was greatly impacted at the Lord’s unfailing love. The Lord’s unfailing love is something to make melodies about. Knowing Father God has love that is consistent all our lives, is a cause of happiness and peace.
Thanks Lord Jesus, I’m grateful for your love and faithfulness. Help me remember to sing to you always.
Equip and enable
So we keep praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do. 2 Thessalonians 1:11
When you read about great people of faith, you can be challenged to want to be like them, which is great, except we need that God factor to live up to everything God calls us to. God has mighty power! We can believe that the Holy Spirit would fill us with the power to carry out the work of Jesus on the earth. The Holy Spirit can equip and enable us to take each step of faith, in following Jesus.
Praise you Lord! Help me to be motivated and lead of your Spirit, in Jesus’ name, amen.
Carries us
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
Have you ever walked to the grocery store, and walked back with heaps more bags than you had expected. By the time you get home, you just drop the bags and sigh in relief. When life becomes burdensome, there is Jesus, ready and willing to give you rest. He has a gentle way about him. His restraint is not arduous and Jesus’ burden is light. Jesus invites us to take His yoke apon us. How tenderly He asks us.
Thanks Jesus, your love is beautiful, I want to go to you in every need, remembering you.
Fear of the Lord
Teach me Your way, O Lord, I will walk and live in Your truth; Direct my heart to fear Your name [with awe-inspired reverence and submissive wonder].
Psalm 86:11
To know the ways of the Lord is wonderful. God is great and when our lives are after the Lord’s heart, we are captivated at the wonder of His majesty. The power of worship is that we are swept up in the awesomeness of God. You never leave the same. The fear of the Lord has us delighting in the truth.
Lord Jesus, I praise you and thank you for your ways. Help me live in the wonder of you.
Supernatural Grace
You will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8
There is supernatural grace apon people as they go, called to share about Jesus. What the Holy Spirit can do, is cause you to be stirred in your passion, faith and fervency. It is in our devotedness to Jesus, that we become willing and eager to take a step of faith, however small that might seem.
Thank you Lord Jesus, your presence is everything. Praying that I could have opportunities to share the gospel.
